Annual trip to the GOlden Isles
There's something magical about the way the golden hues of a sunset blend with the tranquil waves of the ocean on St. Simons Island, Georgia. I captured this sweet family during their visit to our beautiful Golden Isles, they're Georgia natives and love vacationing here. They are a young couple with two bouncing sons and an on-the-go little daughter—at the East Beach area, named Goulds Inlet is where they chose to meet.
The session was scheduled for early evening, to take full advantage of the soft, hazy, lazy sun hanging low in the sky. Beams of light poking through the palm trees, golden rays dancing on the dunes and blades of grass. It's my favorite, and many clients love to shoot at this beach too. Goulds Inlet Beach, with its pristine sands, grassy dunes in the background, was the ideal location as the tide was coming in. The family arrived, ready to create some unforgettable moments!
Making each moment Count
We started with a classic family portraits. With the dunes in the background and the sun just beginning to dip, we moved on to siblings, grabbing a portrait of each kiddo before they tried to make their way into the waves or sand. I focused on their bond, capturing their sweet smiles and matching dimples! Next, I moved to a little mom and dad time, which as every new parent knows those moments are few and far between. They didn't need much direction to getting cozy together, making my job that much easier! And finally, since little sister was feeling so sad that day, we did the best we could and so did she (later she was found to have come down with a fever)!
